These Paris Monty derbies fit true to size 40 and the leather has a nice subtle sheen in person. The pre-owned condition is excellent, barely any creasing on the toe box. They're surprisingly comfortable for a day of walking around town.

The black leather has that rich, structured look straight out of the box, and the size 40 fits true to my usual dress shoe sizing. They’ve held up well through a few evening events, and the Paris Monty 25 silhouette gives them a sleek, understated edge.

The leather is supple and the silhouette is classic, but even in "very good" condition the sole shows more wear than I expected from the photos. That said, they fit true to size and feel substantial on foot.
