The FW16 Mastodon high-tops have that perfect sculptural Rick Owens silhouette. The leather is thick but not stiff, and they fit my EU 43 feet snugly like a sock should. A little pricey for pre-owned but the condition is solid.

The leather has developed a beautiful patina since I got them, and the chunky sole gives just the right amount of height without being uncomfortable. They're surprisingly easy to slip on and off once you get the lacing right.

The sock-like ankle fit is surprisingly secure for a size 43, and the black leather has held its structure nicely even in used condition. They’re much lighter than they look, which makes them easy to wear all day.
